Only a few days away, it is time to start planning your 4th of July celebration. This is a day to honor the birthday of the United States, and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, 236 years ago. What would an Independence Day celebration be without a picnic and an amazing firework show with family and friends?
There will be barbequing, socializing, and fun at the Olive Peirce Middle School from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Then at 9 p.m., enjoy a fireworks show which will be conducted in conjunction with patriotic music broadcast over KYXY-FM radio.
Hope to see you there!
The Ramona Community Center will be hosting it’s 7th Annual Rib Fest on June 2nd, 2012 from 11:00am – 7:30pm. The fundraiser will be held at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center pavilion, at 421 Aqua Ln., Ramona. The fundraiser is held to benefit the Ramona Nutrition Center, so come out and support the community!
Come and eat your fill at a steal of only $15 per adult for an all-you-can-eat dish. There will also be a $2 children’s lunch consisting of hot dogs and chips for the little ones. There is also plenty of sides like potato salad, corn cobbetts, coffee, tea or lemonade. The Rib Fest chefs (say that 3 times fast) have perfected the ribs, with years of experience. Doesn’t it just make your mouth water, thinking about those slow-roasted baby back ribs?!
You can pre-purchase your tickets at the Ramona Community Center, or at the pavilion on the day of the event. If you require more convincing, or just have a question, call 760-789-0440.
